The EarthLink Business Evolution Seen Through Fresh Eyes

Transformation. Evolution. These powerful words imply metamorphosis, change and emergence. And for the past several years, that’s what has occurred at EarthLink. From a name that many associate positively with the advent of consumer ISP to our keen focus today on putting IT and cloud services to work for business customers, EarthLink lives in rapidly shifting technology landscape.

And as an EarthLinker, I am continually challenged with how to keep the focus on customers, helping them thrive and grow using these powerful technologies. While I believe we are doing this the “right” way (which is of course not always the “easiest” way!), it is always gratifying to read outside perspectives. I’d like to share an endorsement of our strategy from Frost & Sullivan, a respected and impartial voice. Analyst Roopa Honnachuri weighed in her report “From a Residential ISP to a Business Communications & IT Services Provider – Analyzing EarthLink’s Transformation Strategy” with an endorsement of our IT Services strategy and how it’s contributing to our future success.

She evaluates the factors contributing to our transformation and how EarthLink is positioning itself as a key competitor in the business services market. You can click here to read her full report and share it. We’ve come a long way, but for me the challenge remains how to best socialize this with the widest possible audience. We don’t want our remarkable progress to be the best kept secret in IT! So, how is EarthLink still standing while others have gone by the wayside? It’s all about knowing how and when to change. And we are set to help businesses of all sizes evolve too, partnering with them as a trusted advisor to create an IT solution that takes them to the next level.
